CreditAnalytics [Win/Mac] 2022 [New] This is the original description of the project. The project has been in development for several years (see credits) and is now available in its first alpha release. The 1.0 release is available as source code with all dependencies compiled. The current release can be tested under Linux. The documentation is available under svn check-in revision c44b1df for the 1.0 release. The project builds on the credit financial system. Based on the original “credit financial system” design (Empirica, 2002), a credit financial system is composed of the following components: Credit instruments, that are classified based on their character (typical for the credit financial system: default, derivative, synthetic, and portfolio credit instruments). The required resolution (credit quality) for the instrument (typically, to suit the typical resolution of a credit financial system, a resolution of 3 levels: poor, average, and good credit quality). The required mark-to-market model for the instrument (typically, an interpolated forward model or a continuous time geometric Brownian motion model). Credit models, that describe the credit life cycle, default rates, and residual risk (typically, based on the credit financial system, a single credit model is used for all credit instruments). “The purpose of the project is to create a package that makes it possible to analyze the credit risk of default paying models, credit risk premium models, residual credit risk models and value-at-risk models, to simulate large portfolios of credit derivatives, to analyze credit derivatives using statistical and probabilistic methods and to create various web applications.” (Empirica, 2002). For example, the following is a description of the project in the user’s point of view: Input Data: At the beginning of the calculation process, the user has to provide a set of input data (e.g. credit benchmark), a set of input (credit) instruments, a resolution level, a mark-to-market model, and a credit model. The project has a modular structure and the following modules have been implemented. The following tables report the different tasks undertaken for CreditAnalytics and their current status (if the status is available).
